The now ruined Hastings Castle was built back in 1067 by William the Conqueror and is Hastings number one tourist attraction. Hastings rich history is evident from the castle’s remains and a journey into its dungeons. There’s also a reconstruction of a medieval siege tent outlining the historic events of 1066.
Underwater World is an attraction designed to bring the sea and all its varied life before your very eyes. Themed displays explain about many of the creatures found around the Hastings coastline and walking through their 15-metre glass tunnel shows you wonderful creatures such as sharks, rays and numerous starfish. Conservation is an important part of the work at Underwater World and their nursery area allows you to witness many of their newest arrivals.

Your adventure takes you on an exciting journey through dark caves where you’ll meet mysterious figures and find out about the dangers of life as a smuggler.
The Shipwreck Heritage Centre based on the Rock-a-Nore Road in Hastings boasts a fine collection of vessels that were sadly shipwrecked both in the area and further a field. With the assistance of an audio-visual display visitors are treated to a detailed history of the ships at the centre.
